PMI-MTC was approved by the State of Michigan to participate in the Adopt a Highway program. We are now responsible for 1.74 miles of the I-475 highway from I-75 to Hill Rd.
Cleanup Date: Sept 21st, 2019
Our last cleanup date was July 13th so we don't expect a large build-up of things to pick up since then but we still need your help as it will be the last one of 2019 before the long winter. We meet at 8:30 am for a brief safety meeting then head out. We meet at the Wingate Hotel at I-475 and Hill road. Volunteers can email Ed Turley to let him know you are attending or Register for the event at the link below. Depending on how many volunteers we have plan on staying 3 to 4 hours. Kanban has its roots several decades back in the manufacturing industry. Over the years Kanban has become a universally recognized performance improvement method across all business types. What does Kanban offer to project management? Plenty! Our projects often bog down due to scope volatility, resource bottlenecks, unfeasible deadlines, and quality issues. This presentation starts with an overview of Kanban concepts and principles and then relates the use of Kanban to these project challenges. A case study highlighting performance improvement is included in the presentation.
