Making decision involves defining, sequencing, and executing tasks (usually in meetings) That ultimately leads to decisions. Decision tasks usually involve activities such as defining objectives, prioritizing objectives, defining alternatives and comparing/ranking the alternatives to the objectives.
From this presentation, participants will learn decisions types, decisions planning, decisions facilitation and developing decision roles and responsibilities. They will ‘take away’ practical ways to improve their skills in leading decision making.
BONUS: Do you ever feel what your trying to communicate to a remote co-worker or client just isn't understood? In this 30-minute segment, Sheila's 11 years of global remote work experience will help attendees learn to communicate more effectively in the remote environment using fact vs emotion, understanding when it's time to stop the emails and just pick up the phone, and more effectively handle instant messaging and conference calls.
Kelly Talsma has held her PMP certification for more than 20 years. She has led program and project management responsibilities for IT, Product Development, Process Improvement and large-scale special events. Kelly is the co-creator of Western Michigan PMI’s “The project”, (an intercollegiate Project Management competition). She holds a Master of Science in Project Management (MSPM) from George Washington University.
