Dan Herzberg, MHA, PMP is a native of Hillsdale, MI. He received his BS in Exercise Science from Western Michigan University and his Master of Healthcare Administration from The University of Scranton. He is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified through the University of Michigan.
Dan enlisted in the US Navy in July 2013 and served on active duty as a Hospital Corpsman until March 2021. He completed a 6-month deployment aboard the USS Wasp from June – December 2016. Most recently he served as Clinic Manager, Radiology at US Naval Hospital Naples, Italy. He is set to begin an Administrative Fellowship at Henry Ford Health System this July.
Dan has 13 years of project management experience. Major projects include: USA Cycling Event Director, Midwest Charity Racing (2008-2013); radiology subject matter expert, Defense Health System Modernization Project (2015-2016); and program lead, US Naval Hospital Naples Radiology Department capital equipment modernization (2018-2021).
Dan’s personal awards include: two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation medals, two Navy and Marine Corps Good Conduct medals, two Expeditionary War on Terrorism medals, one Global War on Terrorism medal, three Overseas Service medals, one National Defense medal, and one Flag Letter of Commendation.
In his spare time, Dan enjoys competing in triathlon, reading, and traveling with his wife, Christina.
